lowering times with a new shifter

did anyone lower their 1/4 times when just installing a new short throw? i was just curious and didn't know if it helped times or was just for the "driving experience."

My friend has an identical formula. Our cars were dead even in every gear. I could pull a good 1/2 of car length on him in the shifts. I have a shortthrow he doesn't (didn't). Obviously i'm a better driver too.

Your technique is much more important. Your still gonna have to shift it, but it should help a little.

It's mostly for a more positive feel and for adjustable stops, not really a performance gain.
