Lowering??

Hey, my name is Josh im new on the board, i was wondering if anyone on here was running 17 by 11's (315 x 35) on the rear of a lowered car? Im lookin to lower my car an inch and a 1/2 or an inch and 3/4 and im worried about clearance problems with such a big tire on the rear. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Later,
Josh

I wouldnt lower the car. Sure it looks good, but it hurts your traction. I had my car lowered with 17'' wheels and 4.10 gears and it sucked. I couldnt hook up at all. I also have an M6. May not be as bad in an auto but Im sure you will notice it.

Welcome to the board!
I would also post in the Apperance section. You'll get some more replies i would think. I personally think if u lower it as much as u wanted, you'll be very very tight for space. I had sportlines and 17in rims with 275's are the car was SLAMMED. i couldnt put my hand in between the tire and the wheel well.
