low coolant light?
When I drive for a while, more often than not, my low coolant light comes on when the car warms up. My coolant levels are fine, and there doesn't seem to be a coolant problem. The warning light didn't light up all winter, but it did it at the end of last summer too. What could be making it do this? Thanks in advance.

Sensor probably just needs replaced. Well atleast I was told that and believed it up until my car exploded up into coolant one day in a parking lot!!!!

all ya gotta do is unplug it if the levels are ok. Its a common prob. with the lt1's. Should'nt set off any codes, mine didnt, its a 96. Oh yea, u need to get a sig going there so we know what yr. mods etc ya got!! Helps when replying to your posts:D

Yeah the low coolant light is always on in my 94 camaro , it has plenty of coolant so i am thinking bad sensor....I am just hoping that what ibanez6rg said doesnt happen to me

Thanks guys. Hopefully it's not serious, because I don't know what else to do. (Hopefully my new signature shows up this time)

its no big deal as long as coolant is ok. just unplug it and forget about it, I promise:cool:

Hey tkatchev69, i am impressed by how many miles you got on your car, does the car give you any problems, and do you have to do alot of maintenace on it? Mine has 90 k and i am hoping mine lasts that long

Well, I've replaced the opti a couple times, and I am replacing the O2 sensors this week in the hopes of fixing a hesitation problem. But other than regular maintenance, I've done nothing special. These cars are simple and strong!
