I just finished fixing my intake manifold leak. I went to change the oil, so i pulled the car up onto ramps, and it idled for a few mins. I closed my trunk and the engine made the noise in question. It sounds like something is hitting inside the motor.

Changed the oil still making the sound. The ilde seems fine, and its deffentally comming from inside the engine. As far as i know nothing got into the lifter valley while the intake was off, and nothing was bent as far as i know.

Car was running perfect(better then before really) before i put it on the ramps.

Im going to take it to my mechanic tomorrow morning, im just looking for possibilities.
If its major i think im just gonna put it in storage and drive my dads truck for a year till i can rebuild it.

 

Hard to even guess without hearing it.
