Looking for FL headers for true dual setup (I dont want slip fit primary's)

I'm looking for opinions regarding full length headers for a true dual set-up. I do not want to use any headers with slip fit primary's/collector. From my search it seems I only have a few to pick from. Hooker and Jet-Hot's both have slip fits.

1) Dynatech
2) TPiS
3) FLP

Of the three listed what header would be better. Is it true that Dynatech is just FLP's with out collector flanges? My car is lowered so better ground clearance would be nice.

If anyone has TPiS headers please let my know how they are. I have not read much about these headers, but I notice a few people have them on this board.

I just want to buy the header and fab up the rest. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Are Hooker/Jet-Hot's just that popular?

Whats wrong with the slip fit? I welded mine together and then put it on the car all you have to do is take apart the universal for the steering shaft and slip the header in, reassemble and yhatzee!

I have Random Technologies mid-length headers now and they have slip fit primary's just like Hooker/Jet-Hot's, and mine leak a SOB. I don't want to go through all the hassle of welding, clamping or glueing them to make it not leak. After trying to get mine sealed I swore never to buy that type of header again.

I have learned my lesson on car parts and mods......... Buy the best, do it once and do it right. I have wasted so much money on the wrong parts, if I had done the research and bought the right parts the first time around I would have saved thousands over the years.

I'm just doing my research!

n20ta2 - If it comes down to it and that is the best option I will do it. Just curious, with the header all welded together it sliped in through the top just by removing the steering shaft? No other fitment issues?
