Post longtubes and SES light

I just got the SES light cruising on the highway after my longtube install, and I'm assuming it is the EGR.

Is there a permanent solution to this if I want to stay emissions legal? (I'm running dual cats)

Yep. Have the EGR deleted out of the PCM for good

I will have no problems with an emissions inspection if I completely delete EGR from the computer?

If you are getting a light, then apparently you have done something to make the EGR inoperable, so you will fail anyway. So you might as well get it programed out.

Did you scan the code yet? If its P0400...I can help you. I can give you instructions on how to fabricate the infamous "EGR simulator". Let me know.
