locking header bolts

the locks wont fit on some of the bolts since the bolt is sooo close to the header primary, do you have to shave them down or what?

Yep, just snip them to fit. To make it easier so you don't drop them you can tie fishing line or string around the clip and the other end to your finger so when you drop them you can get them back.

I had to grind on a couple of mine to get them to fit. I used my bench grinder.

try turning the bolt a 1/8 of a turn. I did that to some on mine and the locks fit right on. also you cant flip the Locks. The hex is offset to the notch on the locks. Sometime if you flip the locks they will fit. I had slp single cat 1 3/4 headers.

i had to grind only a few of mine but that is because one of my header tubes has had a modification and a weld was in the way. Mine are SLP single cats too

Anyone have the new locks out there yet. I am gonna order a set from http://www.go-breslin.com/ They use an allen stud to lock the bolt into the head. Pretty cool set-up.
