lights on dash

tonight i was driving home from work, it was snowing all day, and my abs inop light came on. i thought nothing of it i figured it went on because i had snow or something on a sensor. about 10 min later my low trac light, e brake light, check gauges light, and one more can't remember wich, all came on for a sec and then all the "bad" lights went off including my abs inop. is thier something that could have caused this or was it just a fluke in the computer. nothing changed in the way the car drove or stopped i never changed speeds or gears.
just kinda wondering

alternator

My alternator went out and I got the "my car is being attacked by UFO' syndrome. Might want to check the alt or the battery.

Yes, that is common for the lamps to go nuts when voltage is low. Better check that out.

I thought i had heard somewhere that a brake light out can also cause the ABS inopi light...might want to check that...not sure though.

my volts havn't dropped below 13 or 14 volts. so that shouldn't be it, but i do have a brake light out ill have to see if that works.
