lighter, defrost, electrical probs. can they be related?

My lighter adapter doesnt work in my car. I checked the back of the lighter, there are 2 wires a orange and a grey. They spark when they are touched, but the lighter doesnt seem to get this power. Are there more wires to connect, or is the plug part messed up? Also, my rear window defrost will come on for 2 minutes then turn itself off and refuse to come back on for a while. Think these could be related? What do you think the problem is? Also, my power seats make a loud noise, but dont move. Anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

Fot the rear window defroster, replace the 30 amp breaker for the window defroster with a 30 amp fuse. That should fix that.

I would check the fuse too. Easiest way is by trying to blow the horn. If the horn no worky, lighter no worky.

Also its possible the lighter is just bad. Anyways, if you made it spark it more than likely blew the fuse. ANd if i remember correctly, there are only two wires, to which the lighter socket has a wire clip that clips into the wiring.
