Re: LE2 Head PICS!!!!!!

Since the heads are aluminum you should be ok

I've had my old heads sitting on the ground for over a month now, look no different than when I took them off.

Can't wait to get my LE2 heads and intake on Friday! w00t!

Re: LE2 Head PICS!!!!!!

What valves did you go with? I opted for the stock LT4 style (light weight was my maxim). But I'm still on 350 cubes so they'll flow plenty.

Lloyd does very nice work. Combined with a Bret Bauer cam you'll be shredding hides (provided the proper tuning).

You could oil them up, but what you SHOULD do is buy some Nyalic from Eastwood Company and clear coat them on the outside surfaces. Or paint them a color you like. But if you don't protect the finish in some way...
Well, you know what an alternator looks like after a a couple of years under the hood?

If you don't want to paint them, even clearcoat; and you end up deciding to bag them, you can cut up a set of women's nylons, use them to make bags of dry rice and toss them in the bags. Natural dessicant.
