Re: Kool Blue Part # ????????

According to my SLP catalog, the part shows for an Impala SS Air Box assembly, part no. 100023 (supposedly goes with the Ram Air hood.) Doesn't say F-Body, but the pix looks just like mine (97SS). The Cat is old and the price shows $300.00.

The "blue" one would be the Holley Powershot # 221-5.

Re: Kool Blue Part # ????????

For one thing, the SS filters are rectangle and your CAI is probably conical??

As far as materials, the Holleys are probably made of surgical gauze, just like the K&Ns, so there is probably no difference in that regard.

Re: Kool Blue Part # ????????

I believe the CAI is the 20006 and and the K&N filter is the RU 3130. I don't know how that crosses with the Holleys. I am not even sure that Holley offers the filter. Believe it costs around 38.00 from AZSM.

Re: Kool Blue Part # ????????

Well, I looked up the CAI on the AS&M site and called them to see which K&N filter came with the CAI and that's the number they gave me.

I would certainly double check before I orderd them. JMHO
