I had the Hooker CatBack on my car when it had both cats and stock manifolds. I could still here the belt turn the assesories in side the car but out side it sounded real nice! Now I have LongTubes and no cats and it's still quite in the car but roars on the outside. The sweet spot for the tone of my Hooker catback is at 2500rpm sounds real nice when I hit that rpm! When you put it on and start it up for the first time remember that it will get a little louder ever 100 miles for the first 3-400miles. You just got to break it in. Congrats on your new cat back and a that a boy for your choice in Hooker!

How did you get it so cheap from partsamerica.com. I checked today and it said 347.99 for mine. I know its a little more expensive for a 96 with dual cats. But for a 94 it said 327.99.

Just ordered my Hooker Cat Back this morning. Since the damned free ground shipping was so tempting I have to wait and I will go insane til I get it. Hopefully it sounds better than the Flowmaster muffler I got on the car now.

My car came with a flowmaster on it, I ditched it for the Hooker. Sounds much better, love it on the highway. Only thing that I don't like about it is that it hasn't even been on my car for a year and it looks pretty rusted....but hopefully it won't have to endure this winter, like last year.

Really need some new tips though

I see it for $247.42 for my car thats an 94 Z28... Maybe there was a computer glitch in the system or something?

I got mine yesterday and put it on last night. It was differcult to get it all lined up. Maybe because i did in the dark with a droplight. But how do you know if the pipes are all the way in or not? Did you put any grease or anything on the pipes to help them slide on easier because it was very hard for them to slide on for me. Also when i reved it up it poped on the down revs. I'm hopeing that was either because everything is very loose or because the car was cold.
