I dont know what you people are talking about. go buy a lt1 performance magizine, pacesetter headers are all over in there. i have them myself and they are awsome. way better than hooker headers, jet hots are just as good a pain in the *** to install. you most of seen a really bad pair of pacesetters.

Here is the list for long tubes.

After years and months of visiting this site the order seems to go liek this.

1. Kooks $8XX.00
2. Hooker 6XX.00
3. Jet Hot $5XX.00
4. Pace Setters $3XX.00

Re: jet hots vs. pacesetter lt's

My Hookers slipped right in, much easier that what I have heard from most Pacesetter threads about this or that is hitting something under my car, etc. I didnt have a sinlge fitment or install problem. I dont like the Pacesetter name, thats just my opinion, Hooker has extensive knowledge in the field and has been at this for a long time. Its been a proven LT1 header for many years. I like my 3 bolt flanges over any slip fit design collector, I like having things bolt on with gaskets over having to clamp or weld a slip fit which is more prone to leak. My Hooker quality is great, I got them used and they are still in good condition, I couldnt beat $400 for headers and Mufflex Y. Its probably just me but I never liked Pacesetter as a company, go with Jethots or Hooker if you can afford it. As far as clearance I have no problem at all, the only thing that ever hits it my Y-pipe and thats only when I have a car full of people. Its mainly because its mufflex and it is larger than all the other Y-pipes.

Its really makes me wonder if your getting what you pay for when Pacesetters are cheaper than all other longtubes and most mids and shorty's. Maybe they use steal from Russia, China, or something. Or maybe they are just Communists

my pacesetters hit something under the car, and the air fittings didnt hook up.. wish i would have spent the money on a better header. or just got the non emissions one and did way with it. i ended up blockin off the tubes off the header but still havnt figured out how to block off the other part of it, and dont know how im gonna pass emissions

Aw man, thats not right. If you lived near me and traded someone your Pacesetters for Hookers or Jethots I'd install them for free for ya. Modding should be fun!

Re: jet hots vs. pacesetter lt's

Im currently installing pacesetter LTs on my car right now, I was putting the last bolt on the passenger side header and it wont go in the header! Its like a tiny weld is just barely blocking the hole for the bolt to go through. Very aggrivating seeing how im going to have to take it back out again and drill out the weld.

Re: jet hots vs. pacesetter lt's

I have hookers now, but they are all beat up, from hitting various objects, mainly speedbumps, but that stupid slip fit past the steering shaft turned my firewall black, and the collectors constantly leaked b/c they were always being hit on speed bumps and would never seal right. Im gonna try some pacesetters this time, on a recommendation from a friend, Ill let you know how it goes. Wont be for a couple months though b/c the new motor is being built and Im repainting the car.
