Question Interior noise question

For those of you who have headers, how much of a difference does it make in the interior noise level?

My car is a 1994 Z28, and I'm concidering a shorty, or midlength header, getting a new CAT, and possibly a CAT back system.

My car is a daily driver, and is NOT raced (at all). I do take it on trips from time to time, and do not want a set up that would produce a constant drone, or amplified interior noise. I still want to be able to easily listen to the radio, and carry on a conversation in the car without having to yell.

If you think headers may not be the best bet for the way my car is used, whay is your opinion on simply getting new O2 sensors, better Y-pipe, and a Random Tech CAT?

Thanks, I'm just trying to keep my car running as good and as long as possible.

Headers will quiet down the interior noise a decent bit, being that they smooth out erradic(sp) exhaust flow. A cat-back will increase noise a bit, but I'd recommend the hooker cat-back if you'd like a quiet cat-back that performs well.
