basically im installing my XE 218/230 on 114 lsa, my intakes off and im looking at my heads..they were ported..they look very similar to the ports on the intake manifold except they aren't squared off..and on the exhaust side they were opened up to match the headers, lot of the bowl cleaned up..now when we take the head gasket and put it up the the intake mainfold ports it looks like there is very little room for improvement..but it does look like they could be opened up just a tad..we plan to gasket math the ports..two questions..should i open up the manifold right behind the TB? for possible use of a larger TB..also should i square off my head ports or does it even matter?
