will a 96-97 SS ram air intake fit a 94 Z28 with the ram air hood?

yes. I believe clearances were the same for 93-97.

ok thanks.. is this the only thing besides the dual cats that differs from the 94Z?

No, there are a few differences. The optispark is different, all SS cars were OBDII, and the SS had a different spoiler and wheels.
