Install cost?

What kinda prices have you guys seen for installing the following: heads/cam/nitorus/SFC? Does 850.00 sound like a good deal for all of that at installed at once?

Re: Install cost?

Professionally installed, the heads/cam will be about 1300.

yeah that is a good price if there are going to do it all for 850!!!
I know places that charge about 150-200 to set up N2O, about 150-200 to install SFC's, and I have heard quotes of over 800 for the heads/cam install...

800 is cheap for me! I was quoted from Finish Line Performance 1400 for the heads/cam, that means putting in EVERYTHING that I order, and putting in in correctly. That is for a full head/cam build up consisting of gaskets/bolts, studs, rocker arms, guidplates, pushrods, timing chains etc., plus the intake and head installation.

EDIT: Now that I look at it, the torque converter, LT headers, and the ORY are INCLUDED in that 1400!

"To install the transmission would be $390. To install the heads and cam
package would be $1430 which includes installation of the headers,
y-pipe, throttle body, and injectors. Installation of the driveshaft
would be $65.

Were you going to need to have the car dyno tuned? A full dyno tune on
your car would be $450.

Is there anyway you can get another set of heads ported in advance? I
can't really have cars sitting around my shop waiting for parts as your
car will stay on a lift until it is finished and I don't have enough
lifts to have one tied up for a extended period of time. "

Re: Install cost?

Thats a good price but if you are gonna pay to have it installed make sure you go to a reputable shop. I would hate to get burned and shell out my motor because of a shotty install, then not have any sort of warrenty.

Re: Install cost?

Ok, I was just checking. Because myself and a friend quoted a guy this amount to install all of this, I just wanted to make sure it was a good price.

This would be out of my garage w/ lift , which I could start my own preformance shop. I just want to deal with the hassle of owning my own buisness yet. My friend also work professionally a local shop doing this sort of thing all day

Thanks for the input
