Idle stumble

Tried searching...saw a lot of low rpm miss stuff, but that isn't me. Yet, anyways. Engine stumbles at idle in drive when hot...doesn't do it cold. It is somewhat better in neutral and Park. It also trembles in drive and reverse slowly moving forward or backwards. There is no difference that I can tell at highway speeds or accelerating, not since the problem initially occured anyway.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Vacuum leaks are a major cause of surge and rough idle. Best thing to do is search for a vacuum leak. They are very hard to find, but you notice huge differences in performance once the are found. Another good idea is to thoroughly clean the TB. Deep Creep from Seafoam is a great solvent and its sensor safe. Clean your Idle Air control Valve located under the TB.

Now your situation could actually be mechanical related such as EGR valve or Oxygen Sensors. But its best to start small and clean what you can first. Good Luck

OK

...I will make sure the MAF, TB, and IAC are clean when I get the chance then. I did get a little happy with the K&N oil last time I cleaned my CAI.

We'll see if it helps...

Too much K&N oil will cause the filter to flow worse and also cause a layer of goo inside the TB. It causes oil and carbon to build up. That may be the whole issue.

Can you clean the IAT sensor thats inside the CAI sleeve? You know how you unplug it to take it out, and theres the sense still in the sleeve that goes into the TB...can you clean that too?

I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to. But there's really no limit to what you can clean if you're willing to put in the elbow grease

???

Retorqued my clamps that hold the MAF and CAI in place last night...problem seemed to get a little better. I think I'll clean it all up and put it back together this weekend.
