Idle is 1500-1800 rpms after driving ... is this the TPS ...
Hi Guys ...
While fixing what turned out to be some ignition problems, I decided to pull the throttle body and do some cleaning ... I was very careful to not damage the IAC and TPS sensors ...
But ... I must have ... whenever I drive the car around and then come to a stop, the idle stays at 1500-1800 rpms until I apply a little tap to the accelerator and then then idle drops back down to where it should be ...
I originally figured that I damaged the IAC, so I purchased a new one and I still have the same issue ... the cable linkage is not binding and no other noticeable issues ... so I'm assuming the TPS got damaged somehow ...
Would you all concur ???

I performed that process when I installed the new IAC ... I don't have any issue with idle at initial start up and didn't prior to installing the new IAC ... I only have issues after the car has been drive some and the RPMs see around 2500 or higher ... Then whenever, I come to a stop the idle sticks at around 1500 or slightly higher until I tap the accelerator and then it drops back down where it should be ...
I performed that process when I installed the new IAC............That's good, I just figured I'd put it in case you didn't.........Then like mentioned....I would scan it (IE: operational data) so you can see exactly whats happening when the issue occurs
