I feel like the ICM spacer mod doesn't do much, you're spacing it with metal washers, heat will still transfer there. Try washers wrapped in heat tape, I plan on doing something like that unless it is supposed to be grounded to the head or something? I could be wrong though and what am suggesting may not be any better.

The ICM gets hot. That is why it has a heat sink on it. Are you saying your are noticing a measured temp difference than before? How do you know it is "cooking"?

So you use insulating washers...are you going to isolate the metal studs? I would think it a good idea to maintain the ground.

Some people have posted that spacing the ICM away from the head solved their hot engine spark issues. So, it does work to some extent. Then again, lots of people have it in the stock location with no problems.

Im just assuming it is cooking because it has alwasy gotten warm while running.
I installed a new coil about 4 days ago from orielly auto parts, and that is when this started. Now when the engine reaches operating temp the coil and icm are hot enough to burn your fingers.
