IAT sensor position

IAT sensor position

Hey , could someone tell me if it makes a diffrence which way the IAT is mounted on the elbow Mine is with the clip end of the plug straight up at 12-oclock, but when i went to shoeboxes site the picture showed it at the 3-oclock position any help would be great .... Also i did a search and really didnt find much.

shouldn't make a difference my clip is straight up...

The clock position of the sensor does not matter.

This is off subject but if the IAT is not far enough in the intake elbow will it cause weird start ups and ideling?

Maybe, if it was causing an air leak.
