IAC interchange?
Re: IAC interchange?
You are correct that the 93 IAC is the old style with the square 4-pin connector. You can swap out to a IAC from a 94-97 F-body, but you will need the proper throttle body setup for it to work. For the 93 style, the housing of the IAC is threaded and screws into the mount on the throttle body and the 94-97 style has two bolts that hold it in place.
The newer style IAC uses a flat 4-pin connector with the same pinouts as the 93 model. The IAC harness is available from Autozone brand new for about $45. It is made by Wells Mfg and the wells pigtail number is 447.
Just for reference, the pigtail for the 93 style IAC is wells part number 239, which currently is contradictory to what the Autozone system states, as they have the same harness listed for the 93 as they do for the 94-97.

I just bought a brand new 93 style IAC and it was like $60 shipped from Dal, so it's not really that bad.

$60 is WAAY more than I care to spend on this thing. I'm trying to sell it because I need $$ and have no time to play with it!

TPS...peel back some plastic to reveal wire to probe?
