i'm tired of ****************ing with this one bolt.
the top left bolt on the bellhousing of a 93 z28. is impossible...i've tried impact wrenches, my steroid freak brother, and nothing can get this loose and i'm done fooling with it....who's got any ideas

 

1. It's Stripped
2. your using the Wrong Socket
3. Your comming in at the wrong angle cause it's not catching
4. Your inmpact gun doens't have enough power
5. Your not using a Cheater bar.


I dunno pick one

 

1 3 and 3 are out....the socket's right becuase it locks into the bolt and won't turn....4-5 are good options..

 

Once in shop class I was helping my buddy with an alinment & for some reason the nuts were on very tight we were both grunting on it w/ everything we had & it still wouldn't move. We were useing the big Snap On wrenches too. We found a 4 foot metal bar in the tool room that slide over the wrench. It still took my friend almost everything he had to break it loose! We called the bar the Big MF'ing
breaker bar lol! Torque is your friend (T=force x length), good luck.
