HP level and exhaust?

Hi guys. At what rwhp level is a single 3" exhaust not enough to do the job? My current set-up is a set of pacesetter long tubes with a y-pipe, no cat, 3" edlebrock exhaust, with a cut-out under the rear passenger seat for track use. Right now I'm at 370 rwhp but should have 410 in a couple of weeks. Once 410rwhp is attained would duals with an h-pipe be worth it? Would this gain another 5 to 10 HP? If not, I really don't feel like putting up with the noise of such a system. I don't have the room for an x-pipe, or the time and money for the duals to run up and over the axle.

Re: HP level and exhaust?

At that horsepower level you should have a 3.5 inch single exhaust for max power. From the charts I have seen from the exhaust companies when you hit the 350HP level it is time to consider upgrading from a 3" to a 3.5" system.
