HOW2 clean MAF sensor

I heard that cleaning my MAF sensor could stop my cutting out at high RPM. Somebody said perhaps I'm got some K&N oil on it. Can I use carb cleaner????

I've used carb cleaner on mine several times with no ill affects.

I used electric parts cleaner and q-tips i heard carb cleaner will leave a residue because it is oil based. Anyway mines got real clean with the electric parts cleaner.
