How to reset idle?

I just changed my iac valve because i broke it when cleaning it. How do i reset the idle with the new iac. IT is acting very erratic, idles at 1200 rpms in gear when warmed up and 2000 in park.

I tried resetting the pcm and turning the car with the accelerator on and then shutting it off with no avail. Any ideas?

Re: How to reset idle?

Yeah, thanks for the tip, it relearned. It was kind of fun driving around at first with my idle at 1500! It broke through the brakes at a light and i had to shut the car off. Not to mention, it did a couple of burnouts by itself going around the block. But, it seems normal now.

Should i reset the pcm now that i have the new iac and 2 new o2 sensors? Also i cleaned my maf and a few small things like that.
