my friend has a 93 camaro z28 with an a4 and he want's to know how much will it cost just to install all this stuff at a car shop

3.73's gears , Long Tube headers ,3000 stall, k&n 52mm TB

 

probably like a grand or so...thats alot of in depth parts

 

i know those cost alot more to install then to buy

 

I know you can get gears done for about 150-200

 

Around here the going price is about $300 for a gear install.

Im guessing around $400 to drop the tranny.

Not a clue on headers, if the shop charges $60/hr, figure ~8hrs work = $480

 

i think the header's will cost way less then $480

 

That's doubtful on an LT1. LS1, maybe, but our engines are a pain in the a**. I know, I did mine my self and it took a long time and sucked really bad. I'd imagine most shoups would charge around 450 -500 minimum if they'll do them.

 

damn the lt headers he wants only cost $300 but installing them is twice that

 

Might as well invest a couple hundred in tools and learn to do it yourselves.

I dont know about where you live but I live near Chicago and at a place called Speed Inc. they do LT1 headers for $425 I just got a quote the other day. PS: make sure you do the plugs and wires at the same time.

 

he just found some one that will do it for cheap
