how much tire?
alright, i just installed my 230/236 cam and after the test drive i realized something pretty quick. my 245's arent gonna cut it. so im gonna get new tires but wondered what everyone else on here is running around my power lever (bolt ons, cam) im debating between a 275 and a 295, would a 275 dr hook better than a 295 street tire?
define "street tire" as in a gs-d3 or firehawk wide oval?
and depends on which drag radial you run.... m/t are very sticky, from what I hear nitto's aren't, but they are the longest lasting drag radial.
do you run on the track much? do you just want traction on the street?
I run a 275/45/17 wideoval on the street, and switch to my draglites at the track. I ran a 275/50/15 m/t drag radial and a 26x10x15 m/t drag. The radials stuck pretty good. I dumped my clutch at 2750 rpms and they hooked... but it is a horrible track. a buddy of mine has a cc306 + bolt ons, and he runs a 255 m/t drag radial w/ a 3000 stall and he hooks as well... his best time was a 7.7 in the 1/8th

i run at the track occassionaly, street hookup is a huge plus. i never had much traction from a dig, but i used to be ok on the street...not anymore.
and if i get a dr it will be nitto or bfg
street tire prolly the gsd3, i have michellin pilot sports now...they ok i guess but kinda pricey.
