I've heard anywhere from 5-20... I hate how there's so much confusion about stuff like that.

dyyyno dyyyno dyyyno!

it was more than when i did exhaust, cai, and lt4 km all together after i took off the flowmaster and put on a dynomax quietflow. the 3" flow sounded terrible and i had no low end. it was loud as hell kinda like a ragged out old truck. there was no backpressure and with the bolt ons it hurt me big time. the car jumped at like 4800 rpm and pulled up to 6000 but by that time it was to late. some have experienced this and others have not but a buddy of mine said the best exhaust he had was with no cat and the stock muffler. good luck.

I think it's 5-10ish, but im not really sure, but its gonna sound really really loud:D :D :D

You won't gain much if any at all.

It's a broad range because all the cars are so broad in what has been done with modifications. Like gains from a highly boosted motor versus no gains from a totally stock motor is very different with no cats.
If my car is not modded much, I would not bother with this. But if you have time, like the sound, and think you needed to make your exhaust flow more, then it maybe good. Remember some backpressure is needed for low end. cheers |
Personaly its not worth the trouble just to be louder, the power gains aren't that much to deal with the other down sides to it, mainly you living in California.
Loud Car = Trouble |
I can VERIFY that I gained a dyno proven 7 RWHP by going with a straight-piped convertor and a Borla Y-pipe.
