Question How hard is it to replace the conv. top frame, yourself??

Should I take it to a shop or can it be done in my driveway? If so, does anyone have any links for R/Ring the top? I'm looking at a 2002 Camaro top (Canvas on frame) for my 94, thanks.

From what i've gathered, get a shop to do it. There are so many things which need to be aligned right and setup correctly, and so many things which can go wrong. Also the canvas needs to be stretched over the top real tight the first time its on - my top had to stay down a week or 2 before it was "loose" enough to close just by pulling it down with one hand.

My votes for the shop

Thanks for the reply, but it's off a 2002 Camaro, so the canvas comes on the frame, already strecthed.

I've changed a couple tops myself, not on these cars, but it was pretty simple, just pay attention to what your doing and take your time. Also try posting here http://www.chirpthird.com/ubbcgi/ult...?ubb=forum;f=9
