I am looking at getting the Crane 227 camshaft. I would like to know how good the driveability is on the street with this cam, such as idle, vacuum for brakes, and reliability. Also, is this a pretty good cam for a street car, and how will it work with LLoyd Elliot ported and polished heads using stock 1.94 1.50 valves. I spoke to LLoyd and he said that he could get my heads to flow about 260 cfm on the flow bench. I know this cam works well with stock heads, I just want to know if this camshaft would go good with the LE heads. Thanks

This cam is so mild that there will be zero of the concerns you have, don't get me wrong it will make great power, it is not however big enough to cause any of the worries you have. Should work very nicely, just do not forget to have it reprogrammed for the heads and cam.
