How do you guys set your Comp R Lifters

How do you guys set your Comp R Lifters

I just installed my heads and cam kit and Im having trouble with my lifters I got the Comp Cam Type R lifters for my LT1 any setting hints or tips Thanks.

Not sure the exact specs but i had them at a 1/4 turn for a long time then set them by hand tightening them untill they stopped ticking(while the car is running) and went just a little past that and tightened down the lock. The car runs so much better now

I'll chime in, just reset mine last week. I tightened them to halfway between 1/8 and 1/4 of a turn past zero lash with the engine warm.

They come with instructions...follow those or call Comp personally...you'll get everything from 1/16-3/4 turn recommended here. Comp recommends 1/16 turn past zero lash with the Comp R's. Follow Shoebox's site to adjust them...I prefer to do all the exhaust, then all the intakes...it's quick and easy, and less confusing. Be extremely **** when setting them, too many people mess up their motors by making a mistake.

I dont go but a 1/16th - 1/8th past zero lash with mine. Its not rocket science. Follow one of Shoebox's guides and youll be fine.
