I seem to be having a hesitation at full throttle, at takeoff the car doesn't light the tires near like it should and then when it goes into second gear it wants to like backfire for a sec and then go. These are the only times I can feel the hesitation and they only seem to be at wot. My details are in the sig...thanks for any help...Jason

When was your last tuneup and what did you replace?

 

I have a hesitation problem due to a ripped intake elbow. Might want to check yours out.

 

does your car seem to lose power when you shift? mine did this before i changed the fuel pump. car feels 10 times better after new fuel pump. could also be plugs/wires, vac leak or old coil.

 

I haven't really had a full tuneup since I bought the car, I've changed the wires and plugs..probably about a year..year and a half ago, the intake elbow is fine. I've had the car for about two years now. It is quite bothersome thought when your car backfires into second gear....still think it's the wires?

 

It sounds like it may be the optispark. (distributor)
Mine used to do the same before I replaced it.
