Sounds like your water pump's bearing is shot.

why dose it not do it all the time.

Depends on the position of the bearing. Our 95 TA did the same thing. Once the pump was off it was apparent.

so how do i find out if thats what it is or not. and what do i need to replace it. also i have a water pump off my othe motor how do i tell if this is still good i can see the bearing is good or not.

Get under the car and check the pump's weep hole. If it has signes of leakage, replace the pump.

well i have a pump and opti that i am going to put on. is there any way to tell if the opti is good with out it being on the car. and to change the pump do i need to drain the water out of everywhere?

so you would think this pump is still good or can it still leak.

I'd find out exactly where the water was coming from before starting to change out parts. If you lost enough water/coolant with the leak, there's a good possibility its not leaking any more because there's no coolant left, or its so low the system won't build any pressure.
