HELP: reinstalling crank and rods
spun my crank bearings in my 96 TA and I took the crank to a machine shop and they cleaned it up...they are also selling me the correct size bearings to match the new grind...Now I was reading hanyes and it says to use a PLASTICGAGE to measure the oil gaps. How do I use this and what should it be at? for both the crank and rods. I need to know ASAP as I am installing it tom. PIXS would help ATON:bow:

Plastigage is the poor man's micrometer.
I did a simple search with "Google". Here is a page that has pics and explains what it is and does (easier than me explaining it): (not a Chevy, but doesn't matter for this) http://www.fast351.com/enginerebuild/index4.htm |
