Help me find a replacement for my lil Hot Cam!

Tired of my lil LT4 Hot Cam. Dyno'd at FLP in Naperville, IL. last week and the car put down 375hp/350tq.

Cars specs:

95 TA
LT4 Hot Cam
1.6 rockers
LT4 ported intake
LT4 Stage 2 GTP heads
FLP stage 4
3400 stall
3:73 gears

Looking to upgrade the cam to something that will fully use the potential of these heads. Suggestions?

Looking for maybe a custom cam, springs, titanium locks and retainers etc.

Car is a weekend warrior, but I do take the family out so it needs to be streetable. Looking for a cam with my current heads that will put the car over the 400 mark with the stock short block.

Gonna probably stick with FLP for the tuning. Wasnt too impressed with my last tuner...

Suggestions? Maybe someone to do a custom cam for this car?

You're on the cl-f-body mailing list aren't you?

How high do you want to rev the new cam? What is your position on driveability? Emissions?

I think a Joe Overton/LE cam would be a good choice if you think you'll rev it past 6500. Either way, if it was my car, I'd go with a custom cam.

Yes I am, Jason Burks.

I'll take it to 6500+ if thats what it takes (if the opti will hold). Not worried about emissions. This car gets emission excempt every year. In fact its never been to emission ever, lol.

Driveability, needs to idle at a stop light without dieing and work with the a/c on. Thats pretty much it. More interested in getting the most out of this combo.

Joe O. to the best of my knowledge doesnt do cams anymore and I talked to Loyd and unless your getting the combo he doesnt do a cam only (unless I misunderstood). So I'm kind of looking for suggestions etc before I start calling around. Would like to start picking up parts by next month.

Yea I was looking at the 306, but I have to bealive there are better custom cams out there now. Either that or better suggestions than that. Some people call the 306 mid-range. Looking to get the MOST out of this combo.

If Im going to tear this car apart again I want to do it right.

The guys at Combination Motorsports could probably get you setup nicely. They are very knowledgable about cams for LT1s.

Well you have an auto so it makes it a little harder for driveability... with no heads if I were you I would just save for some FI setup or spray it for the money, time , and effort of a cam swap you could through a tnt f1 kit on and the hotcam takes to nitrous pretty well too.... for a cam maybe a 230/236 on a 114 lsa maybe .580/.580 then you could rev it nice and high and get some good numbers

Re: Help me find a replacement for my lil Hot Cam!

I have heads (GTP stage 2s) now so I want to work with these heads. I'll try giving Combination a call tomorrow and see if they can work up a custom cam for me.

I really, really dont want to go with spray. I know that is way cheaper way to get more power. Looking to stay N/A. Future plans call for a Forced Air and a upgraded shortblock. Really dont want to deal with N2O refills, etc...

??He has heads. Your setup is similar to mine. I have 355 GTP stg2 heads and I've decided to go with CM custom grind 233/239 .569/.577 on a 111 Lsa. Although I have'nt finished it yet, to let you know how it performs. Mine is an m6 w/4.10's. I'm expecting to see 415-430rwhp. I was going w/the GM 847 but I don't want to wait and it's on back order till who knows when.
