Help me bring my Chrome TA wheels back from the dead...

I recently purchased some chrome stock TA wheels. They have not been polished in a very long time. They also have dried water spots and brake dust that does not seem to want to budge. Any suggestions? I sure would like to bring them back to a mirror finish.

Would a clay bar work? What do you use?

I had this in the appearance section but got no replys and only 4 people looked at it over a 28 hour period. So I will see how long I can keep it in here.

I used that really caustic nasty-a*s stuff from pep-boys and it did the trick. You don't even need to scrub it, just let it sit there a while after you spray it on.
