Help with install of LCA's and panhard bar.
Is this install as simple as taking the old stuff off and putting the new stuff on?
Anything I should look out for or remember? I have all poly bushings....what kind of grease do you guys use? And do you grease the bushings before or after they are on the car? |
It's pretty much that simple. On the LCA's, do them one at a time so the axle can't move too far.
Grease them after the install, I just use one of those small grease guns (graphite grease?) you get at an auto shop. Dave |
How much grease do I put in?

until the grease comes back out through the valve.
Use a pry bar to get the LCA to line up with the bolt hole. You'll see what i mean when you go to put it on and it doesnt line up quite right with the bolt hole. |
for reference when i installed mine i put about 20 pumps of grease, but all guns are not the same but you get it, just put enough in it until it gets too difficult to pump anymore

If your car has been through a lot of rain and/or salt (winter), then be prepared to buy new bolts for the PHB.
Mine wouldn't come off until my installer used a 450ft/lb air gun, and then they finally just snapped in half. |
