Help! Coolant leak
 

I have coolant leak that I think is coming from a seal. I checked the reservoir tank and hoses and they seem ok. Since the leak has been there for a long time I suspect that it is really no big deal except I have to keep adding DEX-COOL every so often. I was wondering if anyone has used a product called "No-Leak". The product web site says it is safe to use with all coolant types. I am interested in hearing from this group on what your experience has been or if you have never heard of it before.

I would pressure test and find the leak. I think that stuff will clog you radiator and builds up in engine short term is okay but to get that stuff out..

As long as you aren't sure that it's coming from the waterpump. If that bad boy is leaking, you need to replace the water pump asap. You really need to find where the leak is coming from and just replace the seal, as all those additives do is fix the problem short term while causing bigger problems in the long run. In addition, if it's coming from the waterpump your opti is in danger of going out, which is an expensive repair part.

The stop leak additives don't always work and it would be better if you could just find the leak. Rent a pressure tester to help you find it.

Yea you can borrow a pressure checker at a parts store, and find out where the leak is. My radiator was leaking, but it was only $150 for a new one with a life time warranty.
