help with clutch install, pics inside
ok, I'm replacing my t/o bearing. I've got a spec stage 2 kevlar clutch. here's my prob., I cant get the PP bolted up. I know I'm doing something stupid, I've done this with no prob. several times, just getting brain lock I guess. Here's a pic of the fly-wheel side of the disk http://gallery8926.fotopic.net/photo.php?o=1&id=742860 If I put it with that side to the flywheel I get too much of a gap to install the PP bolts, a gap like this http://gallery8926.fotopic.net/photo.php?o=1&id=742861 When I put it with the fly-wheel side towards the PP it looks good, like this http://gallery8926.fotopic.net/photo.php?o=1&id=742865 Could my disk be marked wrong?? The side with the majority of the springs sticking out goes towards the PP right? Its hitting the t/o bearing. This is really pissing me off, I know I'm just not thinking here, something stupid. I've got a loooooong ways to go to get the bolts started with the disk installed with the springs facing the PP. The clutch was working just fine, and looks fine, I've got a alignment tool, what am I missing here.
thats what I thought too. But on mine the flat side is stamped FW side. The part that sticks out is going to the PP side, it wont bolt up like that. Is it marked wrong?? I put this thing in bout a yr. ago and dont remember having any issues, but who knows. Look at the first pic. towards the bottom right on the disk u can see where its stamped fw side, WTF
