help! busted the remote to my car alarm/keyless entry - how do i disable the alarm?
hey guys - i just broke the remote to my keyless entry/alarm system and now my "security" system won't let me start my car at all - how do i disable the "security" system so I can crank my car? (i say "security" because there has never once been a time when i used that stupid thing)

Measure the pellet in your key with an ohm meter. If you don't have a meter, let them measure it at Radio-shack. Get a resistor of the same value there. Remember it has to be close, not perfect. (within 10 percent)
At the base of the steering column is a 2 wire connector wrapped in orange tubing. Disconnect the wires at the black connector. In the connector on the side going to the PCM, stick the resistor ends in the 2 contacts and tape it up. By placing the resistor in the harness going to the PCM, it makes it appear that the proper key pellet is in all the time. No more security light.
