heater hose sizes
Re: heater hose sizes
Should be the same size.. I replaced the hose that's connected to the pump on the passenger side... I had to cut the hose where it was leaking and use a 3/4" hose barb to splice in the hose to the pump since the heater hoses are crimped onto metal lines along the body going to the heater core... Might be another way, but that's how I ended up doing mine.
Re: heater hose sizes
okay- i have the HAVC delete mode. i used a u shaped hose then used a piece of metal pipe and joined the two lines and it is leaking. so i just want to use one hose and get it done with. thanks
Re: heater hose sizes
On this diagram off shoebox' site:
http://shbox.com/1/heater_hoses_93-94.jpg
# 7,3 and17, are 5/8 inch hoses [as is the upper hose fitting on the water pump]
# 12,15 and 20 are 3/4" hoses [as is the lower heater hose fitting on the water pump]
If connecting one to the other take a 5/8 x 3/4 connector and 2 short lengths of 5/8 and 3/4 hose to connect to the water pump.... some people cap those off with [ with like vacuum caps] that works too...
