Exclamation Heads are off ... How Can I Clean Carbon Off Pistons?

When I took my heads off I found black carbon coating most of the pistons, and some carbon crumbs in each cylinder. I plan to vacuum out the crumbs, but is there anything I can do to clean the pistons and bores a little? Some kinda degreaser or something? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and ..... GO TAMPA BAY!

i would just blow out all of the stuff you can and leave the pistons alone. i've heard of people spraying wd40 on them before when sitting for a long time but that probably wouldn't help much with the carbon. i wouldn't sweat it.

I used a combination of a vacuum hose and razor blades. Once all the big stuff was off I used MEK on a rag to wipe off all the residue that was left. Just be careful not to get that stuff down in the cylinder.
