headlights
hey ya i was wondering what kind of bulbs we have in our headlights cuss i want to switch the bulb to a brighter one . . i cant see thatgood cruisin at night my lights seem so dim . . .

Unfotunatley the headlight bulbs are sealed onto the glass housing. You will need to use a propane torch to heat up the plastic and remove it. Then scrape all old glue off. Find some silverstarts I think 9005 or 9006's . JB weld them into place.
Do a search for complete instructions. |

As far as the above post was stating, here is the breakdown. Other options require some modification and quite a bit more money. Good luck. |
How about 9005's in the low beams? Has anybody down that? Will it throw off the pattern?

i did the SilverStar conversion on my old 96...and it was awesome. not overpowering for other drivers but a nice clear white lite for me.
another thing to look into is to have the fogs turn on when the highbeams are activated. normally they turn off, but a simple wire splice will allow them to stay on even with the highbeams. this sheds a lot of light on the sides of the road and helps quite a bit. |
THANK YA
