Question Headlight with a mind of its own

Hey guys,

MY driver side headlight likes to stay in the down position every once in a while. I have to either turn them on and off a couple times or get out and lift on it a little to get it to turn up. Any idea's. I thought I saw a while back someone had a quick fix for this so I thought I would put a post. Let me know if you got any idea's.

Re: Headlight with a mind of its own

hey, i had the same problem, also with the drivers side headlight, i would have to flick the switch back and forth until itd finally come up. Ive got no idea why they do it, i wondered the same thing on mine...so your not alone

actually yesterday that same headlight would go down and the motor wouldnt stop so i flipped the shaft 180 degrees and it works like a champ.( thats got nothing to do with it, just sayin that works nice if the gear is worn)

Re: Headlight with a mind of its own

Yeah I actually had to play with the gear a couple times, I turned it one way then another, then my bright girlfriend flipped the switch and it popped up scaring the **** out of me not expecting it. I know I saw a post from someone saying to take a piece of this plastic tubing and cut just like a 1/4" piece off of it and stick it somewhere around the light assembly but I don't remember where. I guess when it completly stops working then I'll have to do something about it. Just like every other little thing that goes like passenger side window likes to slow down and headlight, new opti I don't even want to know what next cause I'm trying to have a good winter with it this year.

thanx anyway man
