Header Temp

Does anyone see anything wrong with these temps?

8- 353F
6- 320F
4- 486F
2- 330F

7- 375F
5- 511F
3- 465F
1- 745F

All temps were taken with infared temp gun

Were these temps sampled at an idle? If so, they will have less meaning as opossed to the engine being up on RPM or better yet under a load.

so i should rev it up to 2500rpm?
i will never get a reading driving around

Sure you can. Just remove your hood and driver's side t-top, throw a brick on the gas pedal, and lean over the windshield with your temp guage.

HAHAHAHAHAHA....awesome, i would think you could just hold it at 2500 or something like you said and then see what the readings are.

Best way is to do it like you are reading plugs.

Run it hard, and then kill it immediatly and take the readings. You also want to make sure you take the readings at the same spot on all primaries.

OK i tried it at holding 4000 rpms on the dyno

2,4,6,8 were around 500 degrees

1 was 130
3, 5 were 230ish
7 was 280ish

Looks to me like the odd bank is all cold, which means its rich. You have an exhaust leak on the driver side??

negative sealing is great
also the compression across th board holds at 202psi

Have you tried switching the o2's from side to side and see if the temperature switches too?

for some reason last night the o2's where never switching to stay on last night
they would switch on but not stay on

it's called cruise control.

Reading your sig you have changed the engine much from stock. What are the cyl balance tables sitting at? Datalogging? what about the blms?

not sure what any of those things are but the computer guy said everything was reading fair
AF ratio was steady 12.4 and decreasing at WOT

Yea but CC won't keep you at WOT, a brick will..... well for a little while anyway.

OK we did these easily as you can load the dyno to a certain MPH so u just get it up to 55 and then leave it in gear an the car will keep revving
