header question
 

i tried searching but couldnt seem to dig up a thread that had an answer. i have seen some headers for sale that come painted. im assuming the paint inhibits rust. how well does this work? does the paint ever come off? i live in michigan but my car is garaged during winter/salt season. also, what about powdercoating the headers? i really want to go with coated headers but just curious for pricing reasons.

The paint is going to rust off theres nothing you can do about it. If you get the headers coated they will look nicer longer but will still get some rust eventully. You can't powdercoat headers they get to hot. Send them to Jet Hot for some nickel coating so they'll be nice and shiney, or you can send them someplace else and get ceramic coating which will protect them longer.
