Which header has better plug access...FLP or Kook's?
My buddy is about to purchase some Kook's 1 7/8" stepped headers for his 95 LT1. I used to have a set of a Dynatech's on my '96 LT1 which are identical to the FLP headers and they had HORRIBLE plug access on the #5,6,and 8 plugs. I recently looked at some pictures of the Kook's stepped headers and they appear to be somewhat similar in design to the FLP/Dynatech's. How is the plug access for the Kook's headers on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being horrible and 10 being great. Thanks for any input!

The plug access on FLP's is the worst IMO.

Re: Which header has better plug access...FLP or Kook's?
I have only heard how bad access is with the FLPs. I can say from experience that the Kook's plug access is pretty good. It took less than an hour to remove and replace all 8, including putting the boots back on. I can do all but #8 from the top, but doing both #7 and #8 from the bottom is faster. After the first time, I'm sure I could do it faster the next, probably 30-45 minutes. Make sure you have a shortened spark plug socket. It makes the job much easier.

Re: Which header has better plug access...FLP or Kook's?
I have owned both headers, FLP's plug access SUCK! Especially on heads like AFR, (angle plug) It was impossible for me to change the plugs with the headers on the car. I had to back the header off everytime, which is why I sold them, and now have Kooks 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8.. Night and day difference.
