What header bolts are you guys using on L/T headers?

I'm thinking about these

SB-Chevy, 12-Point, 3/8''x .750'', 12/pkg

SB-Chevy, Hex Head, 3/8''x .750'', 12/pkg

What woudl you go with I have a set of Jet hot L/T

Re: Header bolts....

stage 8's. depending on what headers you get will depend on the length.

Re: Header bolts....

I put stage 8's on my pickup with stainless Borla headers. They are a major PITA. I have these http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...24&prmenbr=361 for my Camaro. Much easier to deal with in tight areas. They are much easier to deal with and you (I did) can get them in Stainless. They are the only way to go.

Oh yeah, it's always a good idea to retorque any bolts in headers after they have been heat cycled for a short time. No matter what people tell about them not having to do so. Another PITA if you use stage 8's.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have used my 3/8 12 point 1" ARP header bolts on 3 Fbodys for a total of about 85-90000 miles. Never once had a leak and they are a breeze to install/uninstall.

Good luck
