Head removal question...

I am about to be doing a cam and full valvetrain upgrade on my 1994 Trans Am. Obviously, I am going to need to pull out all the stock valvetrain parts.
So my question is,:
After all the valvetrain is removed, what else is needed to remove the heads?
I am beginning to think that I am going to pull the heads at the same time and have them cleaned up and put in brand new head gaskets.
Thanks

hey, im from plano, but here goes...
pull the intake manifold, fuel rail, headers, exhaust, starter(for my headers I had to) and then take the head bolts off in sequence, dont forget about the bracket on the pass side holding the alternator there are 2 power steering pump bolts you have to remove to get to one of the 2 bolts from bracket to head. Then get the coolant lines in back of each head. Coolant WILL leak so be ready unless you drain it ahead of time.

cant think of what else needs to come off, im sure there is more though
my heads are sitting on my floor as we speak, and it gets easier every time you do it I promise

If you ain't got anythign going on this Thursday evening, there is a GTG at Tx Stardom in Frisco. Lots of cars there.

Drain the coolant from the knock sensor and the coolant drain plug (opposite of KS on drivers side). That will get the coolant out.

Take off the fuel rails, injectors, vacuum lines, electronics, intake manifold (careful on this one), headers (maybe starter, i did), alternator, EGR tube (from headers to manifold on pass side), valve covers, valvetrain (rockers, pushrods, lifter spider and guides, lifters), coolant rail that goes from radiator to pass head to drivers head, power steering bolts (2 bolts), PS mounting bracket, ignition coil and ICM (careful of grounds there), and finally heads!

I spilled coolant EVERYWHERE because i forgot to drain from the KS, but didnt spill any on drivers side.

Hope that helps, im currently in the middle of my head swap
